Since 1982, I have been a professional paper folder – that is, a paper artist/designer
and paper engineer. I make my living by writing books (24 of them to date),
by teaching (on more than 120 University level Art & Design courses), by
making media commissions, by acting as a consultant to multi-nationals and
by selling my work. Until 2000, I was based in London, England, but in that
year I married the origami artist Miri Golan, founder (in 1993) and Director
of the Israeli Origami Center. I relocated to Tel Aviv, Israel, from where
I continue my international work.
